Guten Tag Familie!!
The weeks keep getting busier and busier, but busy is a good sign! We got to start the week off by going to a young single adult Christmas party where we made gingerbread houses. Let me just tell ya, Germans like their gingerbread houses to be pristine apparently, but Sister Togerson, Lara and I made ours unique...just like us:) Nonetheless we will be opening up our very own gingerbread house business. More info to be announced.
Wednesday was one of those walk in the door at the end of the day and go straight to bed kinda days. BUT IT WAS SO GOOD. We had a lesson with Bami in the morning, went straight to a lesson with Neydi and Henry, had Henry's baptismal interview, taught English class and then went to Schwester Karl's apartment to pick up some bread. Not to mention on our way to her apartment we got off at the wrong stop again (typical) but this time it was a very foggy dark night. We were lost in the sketchiest place of sketch to say the least. Don't worry though we eventually found it and got the bread. #success
On Friday we were able to have dinner with Henry, Neydi and the Nielsons where Neydi made us arepas. Can I just say I think everyone needs to try that masterpiece of a dish. So good. What was even better though was Henry's baptism the next day! There's nothing like the excitement and anticipation of someone who is about to be baptized. You could see the light of Christ radiating from Henry and feel of his sweet spirit! That's a day I'll never forget! I'm so excited for what's to come for him! Definitely the best Christmas present I could ask for!
This Christmas season I have really come to know that Jesus Christ is the best gift that we can receive. He is the light and the way of the world! I know that because He was born we can have hope, peace, comfort and joy. Because of Him we can be born again! It is from and through Him that we can have joy. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. If you haven't already, watch the Christ Child video and you'll feel the confirmation of the significance of His role in your life!
