Sister Torgerson

Navigating Is Not My Strong Suit

Hallo Familie und Freunde!!

You guys this week I had to send my AMAZING trainer, Sister Esplin, off to Bremen. Lemme just say that was a dagger to the heart because she's my bestie!! I miss her already, #rip. (If you're reading this Sister Esplin I love you!!) We also got a text from Präsident Leimer saying there was a WW2 bomb found right next to our apartment so be listening to the speakers in case we needed to evacuate. Another day in the life, amirite? But the work must go on!!

The first thing Sister Torgerson and I did was go to an appointment with Schwester Karl! Except we got there a little late because I may or may not have led us a 2 km walk astray. Hehe whoops! The next morning we were on our way to an appointment with the Jentzsch family and can you guess what happened? Yes, we had to walk another 2 km because we got off at the wrong stop again. Yeah, we have missed a straßebahn or bus almost everyday so far but what can ya do? It ended up making for some great memories though, like Sister Torgerson almost getting hit by a car!! #bestmomawardgoesouttome

We got to meet with Bami on Wednesday and we. put. him. on. baptismal. date. Isn't that so awesome?! He wanted to be baptized that coming Saturday buuuut we encouraged him to set the date a little further out haha! I love how eager he is to take this next step! It's been super cool to see how receptive he is of the wonderful message of the restored gospel!

On Sunday we met with Henry and Neydi at the Nielson's house, where we talked about the Plan of Salvation, eternal families and baptism! I will just say that the Plan of Salvation is soooo awesome!! The spirit was SO strong the whole lesson and it was confirmed to me that the plan God has for us is perfect. He knows who we are, what we are going through and what we need help with! As we show faith in His plan, He will give us strength to do the things we should do. Henry felt this and picked a new baptismal date for December 28th!

I know that God is there. I know that even when we don't feel adequate, God knows our strengths and what we are capable of! I know that as we try our best and take the first steps in the right direction, He will bless us with the strength to continue to move forward.
I love you all, have a great week!
