This Easter weekend was incredible. I wish I had time to tell you absolutely everything about it, but I am in a bit of a hurry today. I made a few recordings which I hope my mom might be able to type up the important parts from (thanks Mom ;) so here were the best highlights:
I have a new companion! Her name is Sister Hannah Rolfson, and we look like twins. It's a little weird. She is also an STL (Sister Training Leader - kind of similar to an Elder being a district leader), so it's awesome because we save a lot of time by not having to exchange for meetings and such, and we can really share a lot of the stresses of our callings. We get to brainstorm and think of ways to serve our sisters constantly :) It is a dream come true to be able to work with such a dedicated and faithful sister missionary. We are tearing it up!
The "A" family was baptized Saturday, March 26th, at 10am. It was a beautiful and joyful gathering, and the love was so strong in the air. I got a little teary when Sam's dad, Ernest, bore his testimony - imploring them to always ask questions and seek for guidance from the Holy Ghost, leaders, and friends. He encouraged them to follow the light and love they felt inside. I was shaking like a dog when I got up to sing for them, ("Proof of Your Love" by For King & Country) because it was such an emotional and beautiful time, but also because Christian rock isn't my normal style lol. But on request of Sam and Tosh, Sis Brown rocked the piano and I think I did ok singing. It was a beautiful white Easter.
Easter Sunday was just as wonderful, as the whole family were confirmed members of the church and given the gift of the Holy Ghost. Such beautiful blessings were given to each of them, but I really felt the Spirit hit me when Casten (9y.o.) was promised he would have the opportunity to serve a full-time mission. I look forward to that day, and I can't imagine the incredible difference all of them will make in the lives of so many.
I can't describe the joy I have felt being a part of the "A" family's journey. My heart is so full. The Lord has amazing blessings in store for them, and I just know they will be a part of my family forever.
Sorry I don't have time for more this week! I love y'all! Enjoy the pics :)
