Hey everybody!!
This week was super cool :) I don't have a lot of time to tell you about it, but yesterday in Sacrament meeting I had a chance to bear my testimony of Patience. I have been studying this and how it relates to other gospel principles like diligence (which actually means having or showing care), obedience, and revelation. I went through the entire topical guide on it, and studied a lot of other scriptures as well as ensigns and words of the prophets. I have learned a lot from this focus the last few weeks, and I felt I should share some with you. Patience is not just waiting, but having the faith to continue being obedient and following the Savior, knowing that His promised blessings will come. Even when it is hard, and even when it is confusing, patience means holding on to our faith and choosing to receive the peace He can give us. "My peace I leave with you." One way we can "wait upon the Lord" and His blessings, mercy, and love, is to read His words. I know and have personally experienced that if we read His scriptures every day, especially the Book of Mormon, then His power and Spirit can be with us through everything. Patience is having hope that the Lord will be our support. "the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces." There is light at the end of the tunnel. Heavenly Father wants us to be happy. "He doth not anything save it be for the benefit of the world, for He loveth the world." "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Be patient. Keep going. It is an uphill climb, but He is with us. If we take His yoke and work with Him side by side, then it really will be ok in the end. Don't give up. He is with you. He loves you.
I am so sorry I don't have time for more today, but I really love you all!!
