This week was a rollercoaster for sure...
First, we have TWO BAPTISMS SCHEDULED THIS SATURDAY!!! Paul and Scott are both getting baptized!! Woohoo! :) Paul has been smoke free for 20 days and counting!
Scott is the one who has been dating a member in our ward for 12 years, but has never been willing to committ to baptism. Through some miracle, this week we went to teach him, and at the end of the lesson when we asked him if he had been praying about baptism, he simply said, "I'm ready." Justine (his girlfriend) burst into tears of joy and it was an incredible and faith-filled experience.
My new companion is Sister Bauer. She is heaven sent! She is from Nampa, Idaho, but spent most of high school in Gainesville, Virginia. Her big sister served in the Long Beach mission, just next door. She is also a picture-taker, so pictures this week! Our apartment, UCI signs, the ocean view, us at In-and-Out, and our new Ponderize scriptures hanging on the cabinet! She is seriously an answer to prayer. We are just having too much fun together! I think we're going to be besties.
We picked up a new investigator this week, too :) Her name is Hilda, and she's a Senior at UCI. She is Catholic, but is so sincere and wants to learn so much. She was injured playing basketball, so she's on crutches right now, but she has such a happy personality!
I had a bit of a stressful week, but I want to say a huge thank you to so many friends and family who were angels for my family this week. I know the Lord was working through you.
One of Sister Bauer and my new goals is to PONDERIZE "

I love you all so much!!!
