I am training!!! I don't know for sure who yet, but I will find out tomorrow afternoon at transfers :) I am so excited!
Ok I am apologizing now that I just don't have much to say this week. You all have probably heard that my sister, Rachel, passed away this last weekend, and that's really been the big event of the week. But I am so thankful to so many of you who have reached out already to my family and answered my prayers for angels to be with them. I am going to be just fine, so don't worry about me. I am exactly where I need to be and I have "a perfect brightness of hope" for the future.
Can I even say how excited I am for General Conference this next weekend?? Three new apostles! That hasn't happened since 1906! History in the making, people!!!
On a more serious note, the world is getting darker. There is more evil than ever before. The challenges, tragedies, and heartaches will keep coming, quicker and sharper than before. And it won't stop. Satan is giving his all in this final battle. There will be mountains to climb and wounds to heal. And it's only going to get worse. BUT there is more HOPE than ever before. There is more LIGHT to disperse the darkness. There is more COURAGE, STRENGTH, and HEALING than you can even imagine. There is more LOVE than we can fathom, and it is found in Christ's Atonement and gospel. If we build upon the rock of our Redeemer, then we cannot fall. NOTHING can separate us from His love. He is coming faster than we realize, and we will need to have more faith, more diligence, more patience and longsuffering than ever. It's going to be hard. It's going to hurt. The prophet and apostles are literally praying for the Saviour to return to end the suffering in the world. It's not going away. But we can turn to Him.
"Even when it's hard, even when it hurts, even when it all just falls apart, I will run to You, 'cause I know that You are, Lover of my soul, Healer of my scars. You stay my heart."
He will never abandon us. He will never fail us. He will never stop caring. I promise you that I know that my Redeemer lives. I know He lives and I know He loves us. I know that if we will have faith in Him and His plan, then bad things might still happen. But He will pick us up and dust us off and help us to walk again. He will guide our steps and help carry our sorrows. There is nothing I am more certain of than the fact that our Heavenly Father and our Saviour love us.
Moroni 8:3 "I am mindful of you always in my prayers, continually praying unto God
the Father in the name of his Holy Child, Jesus, that he, through his
infinite goodness and grace, will keep you through the endurance of faith on his name to the end."
I love y'all. A lot. Stay strong and... in the words of Brother Nanto,
"Remember who you are! Be righteous! Avoid wickedness! Perish not!"
This picture is of me and Rachel on the day I went to the temple in Nashville.
