This week was CRAZY!!! We were on exchanges more often than we were together, which was super duper stressful. But we had to help out a sister who left to go home this week from medical issues. I don't have much time because it's not p-day today, but coolest part of the week:
Today Sis. Orgill (our mission mom) came with Sis Baker and me to a new investigator! Her name is Duygu (said doo ee goo) and she is from Turkey. She is so earnest and excited about learning the gospel. We met her in a window on UCI campus and she told us she is trying to learn more about God. She came from a Muslim family, but they are not really very religious, so we got to start from the very beginning about who God is! It was super cool :) Anyway, she promised to try praying and reading the Book of Mormon this week and we will see her next week!
I got to teach high school this week! I visited a high school World Religion class last week as the guest speaker representing The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was actually pretty scary, because I had to exchange so Sis Baker could bring another sister to the mission office, but we couldn't find anyone available to go with me, so I ended up going with our ward mission leader's wife and teaching on my own! Luckily a member of the stake presidency was there (he was the one who coordinated the visit because he is personal friends with the teacher). So he helped a lot. But crazy things happen here :)
Also, I have pictures of us with Ximena on a temple tour. We did it in Spanish because Ximena is from Peru and likes Spanish a lot better, so Hermana Ruiz was kind enough to lead the tour for us poor english speakers who had no idea what was going on. ;)
We are starting a one week stop smoking program with Paul this week that's pretty intense, so prayers would be awesome! We will start on Friday, but he has to give us everything he's got! Pray for him to be super committed!
I am SO SORRY that this email is so short but that's really all I have time for! I will try to make up for it next week!I love you all so much!
I am studying Jacob 5 this week. Go reread it and think of Christ as the Lord of the Vineyard and us as the trees. He loves us!
