Week 69: Letter

Hey guys!!! How’s things going in the states??!!

Well, we are in September already. Can y’all believe it??

It’s about to get real fun here in Mexico with the parties with their Independence Day coming up. So everyone is getting ready for it. The fun thing is, to me it feels more like Christmas bc the colors of the Mexican flag are green, red, and white, so EVERYTHING is being decorated in those colors. I love it a lot bc it makes me feel like Christmas is just around the corner, haha

Things here are going great, it was just another normal week here in the lovely area Itzaes. Nothing too special happened or anything too exciting. The big talk around here is that we are going to be able to attend the broadcasted sessions of the Mexico temple rededication. They are planning on having a transmission of all the sessions and we will be able to go! We are all excited for it, and as well, me bc one, I’ve never been to one, and two, it’s going to be all in Spanish! So that’s super exciting :)

The converts are doing great! Raul is preparing to receive his Melchizedek this month and we are all very excited!!

Ruben just received the Aaronic Priesthood and bc there will not be normal church services next week bc of the rededication, he will get to bless the sacrament in 2 weeks. He’s told us that he is very excited to do so.

So we have this family that we are working on. The son is a less active but we are reactivating and preparing him to get on his mission by the end of the year. His parents are not members but are not married bc they don’t have the money to do so. Their names are Guadelupe and Javier. I love this family to death. For my whole time here, so almost 4 months I have worked on trying to get them married. It’s been a long process bc in the beginning they didn’t want to, but now they do and last night they told us that they will be getting married on the 23rd of Oct!!!! Which means that I will be here when they get baptized!!! I had been praying that their baptism would happen before I finished my mission.

And that’s about it for this week. Remember that the Savior lives and that He is there for you in every moment with his powerful atonement.

Love y’all!! Have an amazing week!
