"If we have faith in Jesus Christ, the hardest as well as the easiest times in life can be a blessing."

I know what you're thinking, "Sister Jensen, didn't you use this quote from Henry B. Eyring as a subject line when you were in the mtc?" I know I know, but I couldn't help but make this the subject again because of what happened this week. It was with the Gallego family. We had a really powerful lesson with them. We were discussing the chapter 1 Nephi 7. While discussing it, Clamel mentioned this quote, I had shared it with them in a past lesson. He said he consistently thinks upon this it and it helps him a lot. I can't adequately describe how happy this makes me. That something as small as a quote that has helped me so much is helping a family that I love so dearly. It's like a small fraction of what missionary work is all about. The gospel has helped me so much in my life and I want to do what I can to invite come unto Christ so it can help them too. He has gotten down to one cigarette a day. Sister Porter committed him to stop completely and he agreed to. We then started discussing their marriage. Unfortunately due to finances, they'd like to hold off till August or September. With the help of the ward, we are going to motivate them to get married no later than July. As we were discussing this, Stephanie pointed out that civil marriage is good and all, but their main goal is being sealed as a family in the temple.

Maricel worked with us once again. She is such a special young woman. After we taught Crystal, an investigator close in age to Maricel, she immediately began asking for suggestions as to how she can help her. How she can help alleviate the weight of Crystal's problems. As we proselyted she began shedding light on her own conversion. She told us that she felt something different, something good from the moment she saw the sisters. Maricel also told us that she consistently prays for our investigators.

Also can I just say l I am loving being Sister Porter's companion. I will forever be a more consecrated missionary because of her example. I have met few people in my life that love others as much as she does. She consistently puts the needs of other people, even complete strangers, before her own. I also appreciate so much how exactly obedient she is.

Till next time!
Sister Jensen
