Is This Real Life?
You guessed it, I am so happy and the church is so true.
So the Vergara family, one of our investigators, have a grandson that they really want to be exposed to the gospel. We started talking and it turns out he loves movies! I have been preparing my whole life for this moment. He told me Ready Player One and Black Panther are awesome(sigh). I will also be bonding with his sister through chocolate chip cookie making this week!
Sister Tanon and I are slowly becoming best friends with President Bangal. We impromptu ate McDonald's with him and Sister Bangal last Tuesday. We had a great time discussing investigators and deep doctrine. We also talked about different hikes in the area and how I haven't gone on any yet. And then come Saturday we get a text about a zone hike we are going on that president organized(pictures bellow)! He also taught one of our investigators, the Gallego family and it went so well because of him! We were kind of apprehensive because Clamel and Stephanie aren't married but are living together with two kids and we had to share about the Law of Chastity. We decided to make the whole lesson family centered and it was awesome. President bore testimony the importance of patterns and examples set by parents. He said that my parents must be great just because of the fact that I am on a mission, the same for Sister Tanon. He's not wrong. But yeah, he doesn't scare me anymore.
GENERAL. CONFERENCE. Because that old 18 hour time difference we don't watch conference till the following weekend. How blessed are we to have men and woman called of God to give us inspired advice that is so vital to our mortal and eternal lives? There was a lot that stood out to me but something I especially loved is "ministering". I have been thinking a lot lately about the idea of God using us to answer others people's prayers. Just think of it, as you remain worthy and sensitive to the promptings of the Spirit, God is granted the ability to use you as an instrument in his hands to help meet the needs of His other children. As we minister with full purpose of heart, this can absolutely come to pass more fully.
