1 Year Pa, Malapit Na!
I hit my six month mark! Whenever asked how long I've been out, I always say whatever it is and then "malapit na!" which essentially means "it's close!" and then they laugh and laugh and laugh some more because it's definitely not close. But hey, 1/3 of the way, that's pretty crazy!
Not much to report on this week, we taught a lot of lessons and that was awesome! As of right now we are struggling to get people committed to baptism rather than just listen to lessons. There were some hard times this week though, like after bearing my testimony to two strangers one responded in Tagalog "I don't understand any of what you just said" even though my grammar was correct. Tagalog is hard, not gonna lie. Anyway if anyone has any advice for me about not getting discouraged with the language the work or anything I am all ears!
