We had a meeting with Elder Kacher from the general seventy and he gave us a really good training on how we can improve as missionaries to better help the people here. One thing Sister Jenks and I have started to apply is using the Book of Mormon more and it helps so much! It brings the Holy Ghost and helps the people we're teaching find answers to their questions.
We're teaching a disabled man named Ramon. He's older, and is super funny. Last night we were teaching him the commandments outside of his apartment (he bought us a bench to sit on outside because we can't go in 😂) He said some really funny stuff and I started choking on my water in the middle of the lesson haha. Good times:)
We're also teaching the most amazing lady named Rosemary. Her sister in law is a recent convert and invited Rosemary to come to church, and we've been teaching her ever since. I love her! We are always laughing together and the cool part is we're helping her read the Book of Mormon and yesterday she texted us saying she started reading it on her own!
We're also teaching an 11 year old named Breana. Her mom left the church for a while but her ministering sister reached out to her and offered to drive her to church, so now they're back and want Breana to get baptized! Actually doing your ministering assignment brings huge miracles!!!
Aubrey and Betty- the young couple we're teaching also came to church and loved it because it was the Primary Program! They asked us missionaries to sing Peace in Christ with the kids, which was really fun to do. They brought Aubrey's mom with them as well and she liked it a lot. We love teaching Aubrey and Betty!
