This week we found the most amazing family! We were trying to contact someone but he wasn't home, so we continued walking down the street and saw a man standing outside. We stopped to talk to him and offered him a picture of Jesus Christ, and he told us "well I already have 2 of those, but I'll take another." Turns out some guys in white shirts and ties on bikes stopped by once two years ago, and then another pair stopped by about 9 months ago. He started sharing with us about some things he and his family are passing through and he had a lot of questions about the purpose of life. We gave him a Book of Mormon and told him he would find answers in it.
We went back a few days later, and for more than an hour sat outside listening to him share about his life. He expressed sadness because his kids have never stepped foot inside of a church due to difficult circumstances. We shared a little bit more about the plan of salvation, and asked if we could come back the next day to meet his kids and wife, and he said yes!
The next day we taught Andrea, Alicia, and Robert Jr. who God and Jesus Christ are, and how to pray. Robert is 6 and said the closing prayer and the spirit was SO strong! We got them excited to come to church and they came on Sunday! The ward was really welcoming to them and they loved it! We're going back tonight and hopefully we'll meet their mom!
Another miracle of the week among many was meeting Sally. The other sister missionaries met her and sent us her information. Sally is a college student and is so prepared! We gave her a Book of Mormon and invited her to church. We didn't think she was going to make it because her mom was in town, but then she texted us right before sacrament meeting and said, "I'm here!" She's so cool it's a privilege to know her.
Ahh life is so good I love being a missionary! Also my companion is awesome.
