Merry Christmas!!!
Everything down here is so amazing! I love serving down here in Brownsville with Sister Yanez! God is teaching us so much. It's crazy. We've also been biking a ton and these people won't stop feeding us tamales haha. I love it here.
We met a really cool lady named Lorena this week. She's probably the poorest person I've ever met. Sister Yanez and I found her outside on the street, and taught her a little about the plan of salvation. But mostly we just listened to her. The next day we went to her trailer, and it was the most humbling experience. She told us a lot about her life, and we gave her a book of mormon. Sadly she'll be in Mexico for 2 weeks but hopefully she'll go to church over there. She really needs the gospel in her life.
We also met a really cool guy named Geraldo. Gerry is really searching for God in his life, and we taught him the restoration outside. The spirit was so strong! He's planning on coming to church tomorrow.
Sister Yanez and I have been talking a lot about following the spirit this week. We're really praying to find new people to teach, but we know as we align our wills with God's and follow the Holy Ghost we will be lead to those who are ready to accept the gospel!
We've been working with a couple of inactive families who came to church yesterday:) It was so amazing to see them there after so long! Sometimes all it takes is a simple invitation and people return! The gospel is really bringing back hope into their lives.
I love you all and hope you have the most amazing Christmas. I'm so grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ, and for the opportunity I have to be a missionary at this time of year!
Love ya!
