This week was great! We met some really neat people that we're really excited about!
Lows of the week:
I got the 24 hour flu. We went to Celina's in the morning and the longer we were there the worse I felt. We went home and I vomited and had to stay in bed all day :/ I got a fever of 101.6 but was relieved when the next morning my fever was gone and I could go out and work!!!
I also got hit by a truck. Every week we have to take at least 1 bike day to save miles and gas, but Sister Bennett pulled a muscle in her leg so we needed to take a walk day instead. We were crossing the street and some kid just didn't look both ways haha. He stopped just in time before I fell down so I wasn't hurt just a little scared haha. Sister Bennett and I couldn't stop laughing after that. Other than that the rest of the week was awesome!!!!
We met a really cool lady named Jennifer Bravo outside, and one of her old professors from college is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! She came to church with us this Sunday with her son and really enjoyed it. We're gonna teach her tonight so we're excited!
Last night we taught a really great lesson about the restoration. We were driving to a members house and felt prompted to pull over and knock on the door. A man named Marcos answered and sat down with us outside. We talked and got to know him. He's a very humble man and agreed to meet with us on Tuesday! We're excited to go back!
We are still working with the Luna family- they're out of town this week but 4 out of 6 of them accepted a baptism date for December! Please pray for them and their family. The gospel is helping them so much.
We're also still teaching Sister Rodriguez. We love her and are amazed by her! Hopefully we'll get to teach her more this week.
Every day I'm amazed by the strength of the members here. Satan really attacks the people, but we are stronger than him! Yesterday during personal study I read in chapter 5 of the Teachings of Lorenzo Snow, which talks about how we are children of God, and if we remain faithful we'll inherit all the blessings that God has. Recently our mission president challenged us to have more personal prayers, and I know and testify that God loves us. He knows us. We can't get discouraged! We just need to depend on Him and talk to Him every day. :)
