Family and friends,
SISTER PASKETT AND I GET TO STAY TOGETHER IN WESLACO!!!!!! Last night I almost cried so many times because I'm not ready to leave this area and we wanted to stay together so bad! So when we got the transfer call and found out we're staying we started dancing for joy! This morning we woke up dancing because we are puuuuuumped! And the other Hermanas in our apartment are staying too so it's gonna be so fun and spiritual! This transfer is going to be the best transfer Weslaco has ever seen. Miracles are about to happen. I know it.
Celina and Amber are amazing, as always. Celina printed out names for family history! So awesome! And Amber gave an amazing talk in sacrament meeting and comes out to work with us all the time- she wants to serve a mission after high school! I'm blown away by their faith, even in the face of all this opposition that they have.
The three sisters I wrote about last week, Marissa, Leyla, and Mya are amazing also. The gospel is bringing so much light and hope into their lives. The ward has welcomed them with open arms. What touched me the most this week is that a couple days ago we went to go teach them a lesson, and then at the same time we pulled up a really poor member pulled up at the same time with shoes and groceries for the girls. It reminded me of the parable of the widows mite, to see this sweet Sister give when she has almost nothing. Again, amazing.
We've also been teaching Laisha. She's 15 and has the most adorable baby girl. She came to young women's and loved it! It was so fun to walk in and see Laisha with all the other girls surrounding her baby. This ward has so much love for all the people we bring.
We also had a super cool young mom named Justine come to church yesterday. She's been Catholic all her life but never really felt anything there. She's gone to a Christian church up in McAllen a couple times but it's just too far. She's really been looking for something- and this church has everything. She's a school teacher so has a lot on her plate right now, but we're planning on seeing her this Friday :)
I love you all! Thanks for all the love and support! I've gotten some super kind letters and I just want to thank everyone for their love and thoughtfulness!
The gospel is true. I know it. I feel it every day. With God, anything is possible.
Love,
Sister Aragon
Estamos enseñando a tres hermanas, Marissa, Leyla, y Mya.
