Family and friends,
This week was amazing, as usual! Celina got married on Saturday, and it was so beautiful! The members helped decorate and it was so pretty in the church! Bishop Jess married Celina and Noe, and it was so amazing. The spirit was so strong! Amber also came to the wedding and she just jumped right in and helped sister Paskett and I serve food- she's a rockstar. She just accepted a calling as a family history consultant too which is great! Amber and Celina are absolutely amazing.
Other than that we've just been trying to find people to teach! We ran out of miles on our car so we've been biking a lot, which is a party! It's super easy to stop and talk to people when we're on bikes, and we've met some pretty cool people who we set return appointments with!
Earlier this morning we played trizone conch (soccer) with President Torres. It was so fun, we're really hot and sweaty, which is the best.
One thing I'm loving about the mission is our study time. There's so much stuff about the gospel I don't know, it amazes me how simple it is but also how deep and complex it is. God really does know what He's doing!!!!
God also has a sense of humor, Sister Paskett and I just laugh all the time at all the funny tender mercies He sends our way.
One thing I learned this week is that we need to not have confidence in ourselves, but in God! I love in the Book of Mormon where Alma is "boasting in our God." With God, we can do all things! Most of the time when we talk to people and they tell us the terrible things they're going through, we open our mouths and God fills them with the words that need to be said. We need to have confidence in our callings and trust that God will take our small efforts and stretch them and make things work!
