A Great Week

This week was just really fun. To start out the week, back on Wednesday we went to lunch with President Littlefield and Sister Littlefield. We went to Crown Burger and it was really good food and a fun time. We went out with him and talked about the mission technology that we worked together with. He just thanked us for being helpful with all the technology which we are always happy to do. Also on Wednesday, I received the My Plan program for returned missionaries. For those that don't know, in the last 12 weeks of a missionary's mission, they get My Plan for Returned Missionaries to plan out what they're going to do when they're no longer a missionary. Living as a missionary for 18 months to two years, it can sometimes be a hard transition, but they can make plans ahead of time to remain a strong disciple of Jesus Christ. Sister Denney and I are still ready to work hard and make every moment count, especially when we're talking to people outside and online.

Thursday we began our exchanges with our district, which is always fun. Sister Denney ended up going with two of the trainees and I went with two of the trainers. We have one more set that we will be doing exchanges with tomorrow and then we'll be going with our Zone leaders. It's always exciting to be able to learn from them and see how they're progressing. Both sisters that I went with are really amazing and hard working and strive to serve the Lord.

Saturday we had another great District Council and this time two of the sisters in our district gave part of the training. They talked about goal setting and how we have to set realistic and achievable goals, that will make us stretch but also work hard. It gives me a different perspective on the mission of how setting goals can help us for life. Goals can help us to progress and go further than we ever thought we'd be able to. We have to be willing to set and work towards the goals we want to achieve. Make a plan for them and stick to it. I have seen that as you do that you can see the blessings from it and we can see how we can change.

On Sunday we had another Zoom sacrament meeting Elder Soares of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles was there and gave a brief message on working hard during our missions. We're all so excited for this next weekend as we will have President Ballard, Elder Cook and Elder Christensen (of the 70) join us for a mission devotional so that we can go over some of the things that our mission needs to know. We're really excited to hear from them and we're so excited for Christmas.

This Christmas we will be having virtual tours of Temple Square to show the lights. The lights will not be easily seen by everyone because the square will be closed, but they will still be on and so we're excited to show everyone virtually the Christmas lights on Temple Square.

Today Sister Denney got a perm. It was amazing. It's now a little less curlier than it was before so it grows out better. Really it was an awesome week. Talk again next week!
