Animals and Exchanges
This week was really fun. We had General Conference this past weekend. I love General Conference and all the amazing messages we were able to hear from the Prophet and Apostles. One of my favorite talks was from Elder Whiting called "Becoming like Him." He talked about the attributes of Jesus Christ and how we can continue to develop them every day. It's a really good talk and so were all of the others. If you haven't been able to watch, they are all on the church website or the gospel library app.
Other things from this week, we are able to go to Dairy for the very last time. Our mission will no longer be serving there as they are hoping that our schedules will hopefully begin to get busier soon. This is our last time at Dairy making the dry milk powder and that was still fun. Lots of powder everywhere.
This week we also had lots of exchanges with our district. On Wednesday, we had exchanges and I went with Sister Roberts. She is from California and she was in my district in her first transfer (my 5th transfer) and she is an amazing sister and a really great missionary. The next day, on Thursday, I went to exchanges with Sister Weech. She is in her first transfer and she is assigned to serve in the Lisbon Portugal Mission. I'm so excited to see what more she can do because honestly she was just an amazing missionary.
Yesterday I was able to also get a new pair of glasses as mine were sadly broken, luckily the new pair is comfy and good for the remainder of the mission. Today we got to go to the pumpkin patch. The pumpkin patch at Cross E Ranch is somewhere that I went during my first transfer a year ago yesterday. Sister Riquelme and I were so happy to be able to take our district there. We were able to do so many fun things like corn mazes and petting the animals. We even enjoyed the delicious hamburgers that they grew right on that farm in their cattle ranch. That was pretty much it for this week. There are always positives if we are willing to look for them. Talk to you next week!
