Transfer Week!! Ahhh! It's so crazy how I'm already done with my first transfer! Wow! Anyways, both me and Macfarlane Shimai are staying here in Nagasaki! I'm so happy because absolutely love Nagasaki!
This week was so awesome! It's crazy how fast this transfer went. Anyways here's some things that happened this week: met a lady from Kazakhstan who let us in and taught her a lesson on the spot, went to Peace park (the memorial for the atomic bombing), went to a cool Shinto shrine, had a lesson with a girl who saw a picture of Joseph Smith and called him an "ikemen" or "attractive male" in Japanese, and watched a group of high school boys rap in Japanese and dance together. So yeah, overall a good week!
Just a quick story about one lesson this week, we met with an old potential investigator who is a single mom of 5. She invited the missionaries back and we went in there going to teach about one thing but then she started to break down in tears talking about how hard her life was and the spirit was so strong in that room. She said that she knew that when the missionaries came over she felt happier and felt a special spirit. She said she wanted to learn more about the gospel. We shared Helaman 5:7 from the Book of Mormon which is about peace and we told her that God knows her and loves her and things are going to be okay. We told her that she can talk to Heavenly Father through prayer and she can be comforted. The spirit was so strong in that lesson and it was just so so awesome! This just goes to show how much the gospel can help our lives.
So far my mission here in Japan has been absolutely amazing! I'm so grateful for this amazing area with my amazing companion and district. I'm so grateful for all the amazing members here and all of the other amazing people I've met here so far. I have learned that Heavenly Father really does look out for each and every one of His children.
Anyways, here's to a new transfer!
