Nagasaki, Japan

Sister Macfarlane

Hello from Nagasaki! - Week 4

Quick email because we're going to the Fukuoka temple today! But this week was great! It's been absolutely perfect weather and we have found so many great people and have been so in tune to the spirit! Also, two days ago we went to Sasebo to do junkai (exchanges) with the sister training leaders. It was so much fun and Sasebo is so beautiful. My dear friend Charlotte Steed from back home was there too! It was so good to see her and catch up.
Since coming to Japan I have definitely been able to use my musical talents! Every Sunday since my first Sunday, I've played organ during church meetings and I also accompany a lot of the songs that are used for meetings and baptisms and things. It's always last second and I'm so happy that I can serve the people in the Nagasaki branch by being ready to play anything at anytime! This next month we're also going to have a ward talent show so hopefully I'll get to play something then!
Anyways, this week we definitely saw a miracle! We ran into one college age girl and she said in perfect english "I know you missionaries!" she then began to explain that in her hometown near Tokyo, she always went to Englsih class held at our church and she learned English from the missionaries. She talked about how all the missionaries were so kind to her and she loved going to the church for English class. She was so excited to meet again and she said that she's been wanting to know more about the church but didn't know where to look since moving to Nagasaki two years ago. It was an absolute miracle that we found her because she is definitely prepared for the gospel. Me and Macfarlane-shimai are so excited for her!
Anyways, things have been great in Nagasaki and the work is amazing! Japan is amazing, as always! Love you all!
またね! あいしています!
