Hello from Japan!!! I'm in NAGASAKI!!! Tons of history here! Also super hilly so walking up hills has been super fun. Nagasaki looks a lot like San Francisco. Anyways, Japan has been amazing so far!! I absolutely love the people, the food, everything. My companion is Sister MacFarlane from Colorado and she's been out for a little under a year and she's super nice. This area is so awesome that we already have a baptism next Sunday! It's a lady named Yuko and she has so much faith. She is so friendly and so kind and we go to her cute little Japanese house on the top of this hill where she has this little cat named Momo-chan. Kneeling on the floor by the table for an hour has definitely been a challenge lol. Sometimes you get up and you feel like you will never be able to walk again. Anyways, this week has been so fun! From, talking to this old Japanese samurai man outside his super old house about life, to riding a trolley down the streets of Nagasaki, to becoming best friends with the policemen at the police station right next to our apartment, to playing with little Japanese kids in their adorable school uniforms, it's all been so good. I absolutely love it here! There aren't really a lot of members here but the members that are here are super strong and amazing. Yesterday after church they had a little potluck where they all brought homemade Japanese food that they made and it was all so good.
This past week we've been really trying to be in tune to spiritual promptings and one night we felt that we needed to go to this one apartment building and it had eight floors and every single apartment on each floor kept denying us and we were getting tired and kinda discouraged but then finally the last apartment we found this little family that said that we could come back and we were so excited! It just goes to show how we have tiny miracles each day and we always need to be in tune to the Spirit. The Holy Ghost seriously helps us so much.
Anyways, I hope you all have a great week!
