Hello from the MTC! - Week 6

Hello from the MTC! We're already on week 6! We have about 3 weeks to go, actually 2 weeks and 5 days until we go to Japan!! I'm so so so excited!! I've learned so many great things since coming to the MTC. This past week was great. Me and Foote-shimai are now Sister Training Leaders! We're both super honored. We have to interview all the girls once a week and then we have to attend the leadership meetings with the Zone Leaders and the Branch Presidency. Hopefully we can do a good job these last three weeks here at the MTC.
Anyways, every Friday we have TRC and we teach BYU students who served missions in Japan. Last Friday we got to teach these two girls who served in Fukuoka! They were so excited and they told us so many stories and awesome things about Fukuoka. It was awesome to get to talk to them! We taught them about the importance of missionary work and we had a great discussion. We told them how it is our duty to share the gospel with others and how by sharing the gospel we can bless so many lives. We need to share the message of the Restoration with everyone and help to bring others unto Christ. They really loved our lesson and said that our Japanese was great and they could tell that we are really prepared for Japan. It was awesome to get to talk to them!
This week me and Purcell-choro (Elder Purcell) were chosen to do a musical number for the Senior Missionary Welcome meeting. Purcell-choro sang "You Can Believe In Christ" and I accompanied him on the piano. It was a really amazing opportunity. I'm so happy that I get to share my talents with others and that I get to teach the gospel through music. It's amazing how often I get to use my talents here, from playing for sacrament meeting, various musical numbers, zone meetings, etc. It's really great and I'm really grateful for all of these opportunites.
This week we get 25 new missionaries from Japan! They will be in the MTC for 3 weeks and then they come with us to Japan. It's really exciting because we all can't wait to practice our Japanese with them! They are just here to learn about missionary work and the gospel lessons. It's super fun to talk with them. I'm excited because half of the Japanese missionaries coming today are coming with us to Fukuoka! So there's a high chance I'll have a lot of Japanese companions on my mission. And yes they think our Japanese is great. No matter how bad your Japanese is, the Japanese are so nice and will tell you you're great at Japanese.
We found out a little about our travel plans for March 20. We're flying to Minneapolis and then to Tokyo and then another flight down to Fukuoka. So a super long trip but so exciting!
Our teachers have been telling us stories of their first day in Japan and it has been getting me really excited. Teaching lessons every day and hearing all these amazing stories has gotten me so so excited to find and teach so many people in Japan. I just can't wait to ride my bike around Japan and find those who are ready to hear the gospel. I can't wait to speak to as many people in Japanese and teach them lessons about Christ. As much as I love the MTC, I'm so excited for Japan! I'm so grateful for the MTC for preparing me for Japan and teaching so much about the gospel.
Anyways, this past week we had our Sunday theme as enduring to the end. I invite all of you to read 2 Nephi 31 and read about the imporance of enduring to the end and living Christ's doctrine. One thing I've learned this week is the importance of Christ's doctrine. Christ and his gospel is really the center of our church and our message. Through the steps of faith, baptism, repentence, enduring to the end, etc. we can receive eternal life. Sometimes, enduring to the end is not the easiest but as we endure we are blessed. Christ will always be there to lift us up and support us in our hardest times. I know this to be true and I am so grateful for Christ and this gospel.
Anyways, have a great week everyone!
またね! あいしています!!
