Hello from the MTC! - Week 5

I hope you all had a great week! It's crazy to think about how I've been here for 5 weeks now! On Monday we'll just have 3 weeks left! 3 weeks until Japan!! I'm super excited and I feel like every day I just get more and more anxious to get to Japan. Japanese has been going really well and so has our lessons. We've also had some really cool devotionals too. One that really stood out was on Friday and it was from the director of media for the church. He's basically in charge of ads for the church,, the holiday campaigns like Light the World, etc. It was really awesome because he talked about how effective missionary work is. He told all of these amazing stories of people finding out about the church and being converted just from an ad in a railway station. He also gave us a sneak peek at the new Easter video that will be coming out. The campaign is called Prince of Peace and the video is soo amazing. It was really cool to get to see it.
One of my favorite things here at the MTC is choir. The MTC is seriously the best! The arrangements are as hard as the ones I sang at All-State choir. It reminds me so much of the honor choirs I sang in and I realize how much I miss singing in a choir. This week we sang a song called Precious Savior, Deer Redeemer and at first I thought it was going to be a dull song but this arrangement that we sang was actually super powerful and beautiful. Our choir director talked about how the song is about how Christ will always be there to help us along the way. Our life isn't always going to be easy but with the help of the Savior, we can get through any trial and any hard time in our lives. Our director said a really cool quote, "you know you're on the right path when the path is only uphill." I know that even though life can be really difficult sometimes and we feel hopelessness, sorrow, despair, frustration, loss etc. but all can be made right through the Atonement and we can get through the impossible with Christ's help. Even though a mission is difficult, any missionary can tell you about all the tiny miracles that happen everyday because of God and Jesus Christ's help. I'm truly blessed to be able to be on a mission and teach about the restored gospel and bring happiness into people's lives. I absolutely can't wait to bring this message to the wonderful people of Japan!
Anyways, I hope you all have a fantastic week!
