This week was super busy getting ready for zone conference and sister exchanges. We finally had our zone conference with the new mission president! President Mack and Sister Mack are so nice! They have an amazing vision of the mission and have such strong faith. I'll talk more about it at the end of this email. Also fun fact: President Mack's grandfather is Spencer W. Kimball! Yes, a direct descendant of the prophet!
I got to go on junkai (exchanges) with Sister Takahashi this week! She is so awesome and we saw so many miracles. We had a lesson with Sonomi and it was way awesome! We talked to her about baptism and we were able to make a baptismal date this week. She knows so much about God and Jesus Christ and really wants to follow them.
Also, Nakasone is doing well too. She's been coming to church and she's been really progressing well. Each of the commandments we've been teaching her she's been doing her best to follow them. She's so amazing and I love her so much. I'm very excited for her to make this change in her life and become an eternal friend.
This week, we had a cool meeting with all the local church leaders and the missionaries to talk about family history and how we can better use it in our missionary work. President Mack was there as well. I definitely now know how amazing family history is and how important it is.
Anyways, I would just like to share a little bit about what Sister Mack shared in the conference this week. She talked about shephards and how as missionaries and servants of the Lord we are all his undershephards. We all serve Him and are in the work of bringing His sheep back into His fold. Her and President Mack talked about how they are called to help us become more converted to the gospel; to help convert the undershephards before you help the sheep. She played the song "Dear to the Heart of the Shephard" and that song is very dear to me. I thought about how that is what we are doing, we are coming more converted to the gospel and strengthening ourselves everyday to be able to go out and search for His sheep. I know that the Lord is our shephard and looks out for each of His sheep.
I love you all!
