Hello Parents Dearest:)

Hello parents dearest:)

First off- thank you guys (mom) so much for the stockings! We haven't opened them yet, we're all opening them tonight. I'm so excited for christmas at the mtc. In choir we're singing an arrangement of "Precious savior, dear redeemer" and it is beautiful. Listen to that song, it's really good. I don't know which general authority is speaking yet, but i'm sure they'll be good no matter what.

So, if erin didn't tell you already, I'm calling tomorrow at 4. I think i'm going to call mom, so mom-you'd better have your phone charged.

(Again, mostly for mom, but if you're stressed out too dad,) I hope you're not stressing out over christmas! Don't ruin the holiday for yourself. This is about Jesus Christ's birth, and remembering him. Nothing else matters. Yesterday we sang a song called "Where shepherd's lately knelt" and i wrote down the words cause i thought they were so powerful.

"Where shepherds lately knelt and kept the angel's word
I come in half belief, a pilgrim strangely stirred;
But there is room and welcome there for me.

In that unlikely place I find him as they said:
sweet new-born babe, how frail! And in a manger bed.
A still small voice to cry one day for me.

How should i not have known Isaiah would be there
his propecies fulfilled? with pounding heart i stare:
A child, a son, the Prince of Peace, for me.

Can I, will I forget how love was born, and burned it's way into my heart,
unasked, unforced, unearned-
To die, to live, and not alone for me?"

It's amazing that the God of the Earth and so many other glorious creations willingly chose to come down to earth as a child, in the most humble of circumstances. He is so much more glorious than I think a lot of people (including me) give him credit for, and yet he still cares about each of us individually So. Much, enough to suffer each of our pains and sins and sorrows, and to die for us. It's amazing- and that's what Christmas is about.

In other news, since i don't really want to write a mass email ( you can choose parts of this to send if you really want to)

This past sunday i got to play piano for the first time in foreverrrrr and it was so great. I missed playing piano. I played in sacrament meeting, and i also got called on to give a talk! They announce who's speaking right after sacrament ends so that everyone has to write a talk just in case, and i was one of the lucky two this week. The talks are all in nihongo and usually we write two as a class, but this week interviews took too long so i didn't have time to write one. So when i got called on i turned to the two girls next to me and i said "i need your scriptures, and i need your talk" hahaha it was all good though. I got up there and read it and it was fine. The only issue was while trying to tell where a scripture was, i couldn't remember how to say "6" cause it was verse 16 or something. I don't remember saying this out loud, but i guess I said "oh flip what's 16?" really quietly hahaha. Whoops. One of the MTC presidency counselors was there too so that was embarrassing but oh well. Now i'm good for the rest of my time here!

Last thing- thank you for all the christmas cards you guys make everyone buy and send to me:) The letters i get from everyone always make my week. We have the best family ever.

Okay love you- can't wait to talk to you guys! Have an awesome christmas! I hope santa finds his way to our house! :)

Also, ash wanted a picture of the decorated tree, so here it is!
