Half way done

Hey Everyone!
This week has definitely been a long one but it was amazing! I know that if I had time I would go on for hours about everything I've learned and all the experiences I've had but I know most of you won't read the whole thing so I'll keep it short and sweet.

This week was great and a lot of things happened. So here are some of my favorite moments: Elder Oaks came and spoke to us on Tuesday for our devotional. It was sooo cool! It was an amazing devotional and it was fun to be so close to an apostle of the lord. As I've been studying more about the gospel I was better able to appreciate who he is and what he has done as a servant of the lord.

My flight plans came! I leave September 19th at 3:30 am for Syracuse New York! I can't believe that I only have a little over a week left here at the mtc. I don't know where all that time went! I'm literally half way done with my mtc experience! Soon I'll be across the country ready to share the gospel with everyone around me!

Funny story about my companion. Her name is Sister Gunther and I love her so much! But bugs seem to hate her. I'm not kidding the bugs here attack her. So far she has had a spider fall on her hand while we were studying. A bug bit her leg. A bee flew into her hair. And last a different bee stung her. Now she hates bees because she has been stung seven times! So this would be the 8th time she has been stung and when it was flying around us she literally took off screaming and somehow the bee still managed to sting her. I guess it may not seem funny but it is hilarious how she always gets attacked and I'm just standing a few feet away peacefully minding my own business😂

Okay I think I've already gone to long so one last thought before I leave you guys to the rest of your week.

I think my favorite part of everyday is waking up and putting my name tag on. There is something special about wearing this tag every single day everywhere I go. It's helped me remember that I am a full time missionary. I am dedicating my time to my father in heaven because I love him. He has given me so much in my life that this is least I could ever do. I know that there are people out there in New York waiting for something to hope for. Something to give them the happiness they have been searching for. And this gospel is exactly
that! I love it. I love my savior Jesus Christ. He truly is our
savior. Without him I know I wouldn't be anything like I am today. I am so grateful that through him and his atonement I am able to become the person heavenly fathers wants me to be. It is through Christ that I find hope each and everyday for a better tomorrow.

Ps. I went to the temple this morning and we found out you can have breakfast or lunch IN the temple. How cool is that??? And it was seriously delicious! Y'all should go try it sometime 😉
