Spring.....?
Hello everyone! Isn't it a great day!
UPDATE: We have officially seen the sun. Haha it is finally starting to look and feel like spring up here in the north country. It is weird to be honest but oh I am so excited! We finally took off our coats and are enjoying this time in the warmth! Hopefully it actually sticks around!
We had transfers this week and Sister Jenkins has moved on :( She went way down to Hudson falls! Just across the entire mission ya know... not far at all. Sister Hamblin also has left Ithaca and went down to Hudson. Also on the other side of the mission. Actually it is in the opposite corner of the mission from where I am! Sister Rawlinson is staying in Latham again with Sister Gunther. Its crazy. She will have been staying in her two first areas for 6 months! ( Sis R) She is a trooper that is for sure! My new companion is Sister Miner and she is amazing! I absolute love her! This transfer is going to be a good one I can already tell.
Because of the warm weather Sister Miner started to tell me about what to expect of upstate New York in the Summer.... lets just say I might be praying for the winter to come back. She told me horror stories about the multitudes of bugs and the humidity, etc. Haha I may just actually be thankful I only have one summer in New York.
This week we had one of our new investigators come to church! Her name is Rebecca and she is amazing! It was so much fun to see her come!
This week the Elders Investigator Vikki is getting baptized and I am so excited for her! She is amazing!
This work is the greatest thing ever. Seriously, I will never regret my decision to be a missionary. Everyday is a new adventure with so many opportunities and miracles waiting around the corner. I was reminded this week of how beautifully simple our gospel is. We got to go see a gospel service and it honestly just made me grateful for the clarity of the fullness of Christs restored church. That is something that has always struck me about this church, it makes sense. In every way. I love it and I love that I get to teach people about it.
