Merry Christmas

Well Christmas has come and gone in a blink of an eye. Funny how we can look forward to something for so long and then have it be over so quickly isn't it? I find that happens with a lot of things in life. It makes you realize how much we need to cherish the here and the now. Today is the last time it will be the 26th of December in the year 2017. What are you going to do today that will make it worth remembering? Everyday has new opportunities waiting around the corner, all you have to do is look for them. I want to share a quote from President Monson . He said “As we seek Christ, as we find Him, as we follow him, we shall have the Christmas spirit not for one fleeting day each year, but as a companion always." I truly believe we can have the spirit of Christmas with us every day of the year :)

This week was really good. We had a Christmas conference up in Liverpool. So we drove with the elders up and got to be uplifted. I love the conferences because I always come back to Ithaca with a bigger spring in my step. They help me have more of a purpose. Being a missionary is the greatest thing I have ever had the opportunity to become. And remembering why I am one is one of the greatest feelings. These conferences help me to remember why I am out here.

This last week we also had a baptism in the Ithaca area. The Elders baptized a woman named Robin. She is the sweetest lady you will every meet. It was amazing to see how all this work, and time, and effort pays off in the end. We are out here to help people come to know their Savoir just like Robin did. What a sweet reward it is to have a front row seat of them coming to love and trust their Savoir.

Well other random things that happened this week: We found the best Christmas lights in Ithaca. This one lady, Glenda, goes all out. If she were in Utah she would probably be on TV because of her lights. We also made a gingerbread house. We each decorated one side and our house turned out.... unique to say the least. We also failed at making a snowman. He turned into a Jaba the hut snowman. Haha! We also got matching sweaters and pajamas to wear on Christmas ! :)

Well that is all I have for today. I hope you all enjoyed this Christmas and continue to feel of the Saviors love for you this coming week.

Love Sister Keller
