This week was a good one. We traveled a lot because we had zone conference in Owego and then Return and Report in Utica. So I have had a lot of time (about 9 hours worth) to see more of beautiful upstate NY.
At zone conference my mission president, President Rogers, shared his favorite scripture and I would like to share it with all of you. It is D&C 82:10. It talks about the Lord being bound when we follow his commandments. When we obey the commandments we are showing God that we want Him in our lives. That we trust Him. He has promised us time and time again that if we follow Him then he will gives us blessings. It is not a matter of if. He will help us, all we have to do is go to Him. Isn't that amazing? Just something to ponder about this week :)
For service one day we went over to one of our investigators homes and help her clean her house. While we were there we got to watch one of her snakes eat a mouse. It is super gross and disgusting yet fascinating at the same time! haha! It was kinda crazy. They actually have like 8 snakes I believe and a lot more pets. They practically have a petting zoo. They have snake, rats ( like 100+ because they feed them to the snakes), fish, lizards, bunnies, chicks, and dogs. Every time I go into a new room in their house I find new animals that I didn't know they had. Its crazy. I couldn't imagine trying to take care of so many animals!
