Oh boy. This week was a good one and there is so much to tell but I will try to make it short.
First off, I met a celebrity. His name is Elder Vorkink and he is one of our zone leaders. Before he came out on his mission he wrote a youth song for 2017 EFY called "Thy Will Be Done". It is currently my favorite song and I force my companion to listen to it all the time. Haha!
Anyway the experience I want to share this week was about our new investigator Xiang. I can't remember if I mentioned her before or not but last week we tracted into her and she set up a dinner appointment with us. So this week we went to that appointment but it was poor planning on our part. We didn't realize a member was feeding us that night so we ended up having two dinners because we didn't want to cancel either of them. So when we went to Xiangs we were already kinda full but Sister Rawlinson informed me that we probably would be okay because apparently she thought Asian people don't eat a lot. Well she was sorely mistaken. Xiang made a lot of food. And she dishes up our plates with probably 25 scoops of fried rice just to start with. I am not kidding. She would literally push the rice down so she could fit more onto our plates. SO say the least I was stuffed after that meal. But the amazing thing that came out of it was we set up a return appointment with not only her but also three of her friends that happened to stop by during dinner. They were all interested so now we are going to have "weekly classes". They want to learn more about our church and they also want us to help them learn English better. The lessons are going to be interesting because there is that language barrier but I know with the lords help they are going to be amazing.
Anyway, that is all I have for this week. A quick quote I want to share for you all to ponder about this week. Its from Dieter F. Uchtdorf. " Just because we cannot see something with our physical eyes does not mean it doesn't exist". Just something to think about this week :)
