Reconquista, Santa Fe, Argentina

Hermana Crismon

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord

Another week bites the dust here in Reconquista. Didn't I just write you all yesterday? That's how it goes in the mission I guess. Anyways, here comes week in review

1. We were in Resistencia as I mentioned for a conference and interviews. We found out that Hermana Van, (our other roommate) was being emergency transferred to another zone. We were pretty sad. We had a lot of fun with her.

2. Everything is basically flooded here in Northern Argentina. We are getting SO MUCH RAIN. We worked in boots and coats all week which I honestly prefer over the scorching sun but like I said last week, it is hard on the people here.

3. My challenge to read the New Testament is moving forward. This week I finished Romans. One of the things I like a lot, I found in chapter 12. I also included it as my topic line.

11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

This advice rings true for missionaries and members alike. It seemed like a good theme for this week as well because we honestly worked our bums off. Even though we lost a few days in our area we happened to meet all of our goals. That probably doesn't mean much to all of you but what we all know is that when we are in the service of God, he consecrates our efforts. Hermana Crismon and I are having a lot of fun. Don't worry we aren't taking things tooo seriously. I love that girl. Anyways, that is all I have for you guys. Love you so much and I hope you have a great week!

Love, Hermana Stirling
