Hermana Ttupa

Knees weak, arms are heavy

Hey friends! I don't have much to report this week but I will tell you that it was another good one.

1. Yesterday was Mother's Day here which means (like every other holiday here), everyone is drunk. Kind of a strange contrast to Mother's Day back home but hey it's all good.

2. We went and visited a lot of less active families this week. We met 4 year old Christian who is literally the cutest little boy I have ever met. (picture included). He makes a point to tell me how pretty my hair is every time we see him. We were happy to see him and his mom at church yesterday.

3. We went out and worked with a member named Hermana Nely on Thursday. She is SO dedicated to the work. Even though she is coming up on 65 she goes out with the missionaries twice a week and rides along on her bike. She is constantly giving us references. Just this week we went back to a contact she gave us and were surprised to find them WAITING FOR US! They told us they had other plans but they chose to wait for us to get there so we could talk. As a missionary that is a dream come true because people usually hide in their house when they know we are coming. The family is named Familia Lopez. It is a mom and her 27 year old son. They are super open and receptive of our message. We are super excited to see where it goes with them.

4. I found donuts today. Super happy about that. And yes dad, they were "Big Donut" kinda good.

5. My companion completed a year and she also murdered a butterfly so that she could put it in her scriptures hahah.

6. I was privileged to share a message in Sacrament Meeting yesterday and I shared a really awesome scripture found in Doctrine and Covenants, chapter 1.

"That the fulness of my gospel might be proclaimed by the weak and the simple unto the ends of the world, and before kings and rulers."

I bore my testimony to them as I now bear it to you. The Lord has been known for using imperfect people to preform a perfect work. I am weak and I am simple but I know that the Lord can use me, just as he can use all of us. I love you so much and I hope you have a great week.

Love, Hermana Stirling
