Sain Bain uu everyone?!
Well, this week has been pretty good, and not much different than normal, other than it snowed almost every day this week. I find it a small relief that things are starting to seem normal now though.
The most exciting thing that I did this week was learn how to make buuz. We were at a members house, and they let sister Weaver and I help them make a few of their Tsagaan sar buuz. It took us a couple of tries to make them even resemble dumplings, but then we started to get better. They were so patient, and they just encouraged us even though they looked so bad. Then we got to eat some of them.
The second most exciting thing that happened this week was that all 4 missionaries in our ward got twenty minute notice to prepare a talk/testimony to share in church on sunday. If anyone was wondering, it was a real struggle. There are a lot of miracles that happen when you are on a mission, but sometimes Heavenly father lets you struggle a little to humble you. I have been in Mongolia for about two months, and I still struggle a lot with the language, and I really struggled giving a talk in Mongolian on sunday. I think it was about 3 minutes long, and based on the quizzical looks on all the members faces, I'm pretty sure half of it didn't make sense. People always say that you write talks for your own good, and that definitely applied in this case. I stood up and shared a small message on God calling people despite weaknesses, and shared Ether 12:27. So this week I am focusing a little more on Language study and I have a little more motivation to work hard at it. I guess this is a weakness that needs to be made into a strength.
There isn't much more to add to this email, but I hope everyone has a great valentines day!
