This week was full of embarrassing and awkward and just plain weird moments all week plus some miracles mixed in there to make a great start to the transfer.
Got my new companion Sister Mooring and she is the cutest, she is my 10th companion and the 8th one from Utah! She has a great sense of humour and I'm excited to serve with her in Stadthagen.
We had another lesson with sassy Frau Gnebner, she told us what we teach is interesting but she has some different views about the afterlife, sin, and who God is. We will keep teaching her and see what happens.
This week due to corona virus all the missionaries had to make 72 hour kits of food and water just in case we have to stay inside. So that was fun, we put some good things in there. Then naturally took a photo shoot with all our food before packing it away it kinda left like Christmas.
But unfortunately due to corona, some of our friends cancelled on us, right after we finished making our kits, two of our friends said let's wait until the virus is gone so who knows how long that will be and another friend said "it started just this evening" meaning she is really sick.
Good thing we are prepared for anything now!
We had a good lesson with Sara about why church is so important and we are supposed to go every week and she said she had no idea and will really try to come now. she still didn't come, :( but she said "I believe in God 100% and you??" Haha she wanted to make sure we also believed in God 100%
We had a street display on Saturday and the elders came and helped us out, it was good but so windy so nobody was talking to us and the stand kept almost falling over and at the end the entire table and stands and everything flipped over because of the wind and it was so hilarious. But as we were scrambling to pick things up and find the pass along cards that were blowing through the town square, the elders talked to a man and ended up getting his number and giving him a Book of Mormon!!! Miracles! I think he saw how dedicated we were! 🤣
So after our street display on Saturday, we were trying to get out of the parking garage but our ticket for opening the gate didn't work and so we were stuck in the small space and I couldn't figure out how to back up out of there and then a car came behind us and gave us an extra ticket they had. So that was truly a miracle! Then Sister Mooring puts the ticket in but she isn't in the car so I have to just go and start driving while she runs up the ramp beside me out of the parking garage and she is holding a potted flower the whole time and it was just so hilarious how everything played out.
Lastly on Sunday, we had a lot of returning members come and went finding after church and after many Neins and kein Interesse's (no interest) we found a girl from Russia who wants a Book of Mormon 😄 es lohnt sich. (worth it)
I hope you all have a great week, remember to laugh through the hard / awkward moments and that God is always there for you to lift you up when you feel weak and carry your burdens.
LG,
Sister Webber
