It's been nuts! I'm in Millbrook, Alabama. My first 6 months was in Alex City (Montgomery Zone), then they shipped me all the way up to Tennessee for 7 months, now I'm back where I started. My comp is Sister Thompson. She is from Nampa, Idaho. She is part Canadian. She kind of looks like Reece Witherspoon. She's great!
It's fun whitewashing an area because it's just you and your comp learning together.
The ward is big! It's a military ward. People moving in and out every other year. It reminds me of San Antonio. When we bore our testimony in church a lot of members said they just came from San Antonio.
I've never worked around other missionaries before. There are 3 sets of missionaries around us.
Milbrook is a nicer area--Also not used to that. hahaha
Miracle: A referral from Salt Lake was given to us, Addie. Addie was given a priesthood blessing from elders in Louisiana in 2017. Since then she has been going to our church for the last year straight. When we met her I said, "Addie, the reason you felt so much better after that blessing was because those elders held something called the priesthood, the power to act in God's name. You can be baptized with that same authority! Have you ever been baptized into this church?" she said no and that no one has asked. We invited her to be baptized. She said yes. She said she smokes and drinks coffee. We grabbed a piece of paper and pen and wrote out a plan to help her stop smoking and prepare for a March 2nd baptism! This woman is so ready.
I'm sorry this email is short. I have run out of time today! Have a wonderful week!
