We had 11 people come to church this week! This was so exciting. A family I started teaching when I got here but dropped back in September, randomly came to church. They were able to bond with the Bean family and the daughter talked to the family who came and told them that they NEED to baptized in this church!
We are preparing the recent concerts to go to the temple this next week. They are excited because they feel loved and needed.
Cool experience: Sister Hales and I during comp study each role played a person who had a concern and needed to use the BOM to resolve their concern. Sister Hales played someone who asked "why do bad things happen to good people?" and I played a person who didn't feel loved.
The next day we were in a lesson, we planned on teaching the gospel of jesus christ. But when we got to repentance the boy looked at us and paused and asked us "How can I know I haven't gone too far for God to love me?" and "If there is a God, why does He allow such bad things to happen?" Sister hales and I knew exactly what to do because we practiced the day before!!! God is preparing us. One we shares was 2 Nephi 2: 2 Nevertheless, Jacob, my firstborn in the wilderness, thou knowest the greatness of God; and he shall consecrate thine afflictions for thy gain.
Sister Hales is doing great! We went on exchanges this week. Sister Johanson came here and Sister Hales when to Russelville, AL. Everyone in Alabma is having a depression because they lost national game. It's crazy hahaha. #rolltide
