Corinth, Mississippi

Sister Remkes

Crazy, Busy Week!

Crazy week! Absoluelty all over the place. We had exchanges this week. I went to Russellville, AL. I worked with SIster Johanson. She came out with me. It was cool to see how we have both grown. I remember us being in the MTC together now here we are! It's cool seeing the different ways that people work in their areas...but at the same time it makes me miss my area. I am biased of course..I love Corinth. We then had ANOTHER exchange in Florence, AL. But the sister in Florence came to Corinth (sorry I know this is all confusing) her name is Sister Schrevier. She has been out for 3 weeks. I love being with new missionaries because they are so eager to get to work. They are still moldable.

This week I was reading in Mormon. I'll tell you WHAT...chapters 7-9 are some of my favorites. I really love these verses.

Mormon 9: 27-29

"27 O then despise not, and wonder not, but hearken unto the words of the Lord, and ask the Father in the name of Jesus for what things soever ye shall stand in need. Doubt not, but be believing, and begin as in times of old, and come unto the Lord with all your heart, and work out your own salvation with fear and trembling before him.
28 Be wise in the days of your probation; strip yourselves of all uncleanness; ask not, that ye may consume it on your lusts, but ask with a firmness unshaken, that ye will yield to no temptation, but that ye will serve the true and living God.
29 See that ye are not baptized unworthily; see that ye partake not of the sacrament of Christ unworthily; but see that ye do all things in worthiness, and do it in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God; and if ye do this, and endure to the end, ye will in nowise be cast out."
I love the part that says "Doubt not but be believing" We can have full trust in Jesus Christ and believe in the most perfect being who ever walked the earth! I love Him and I love this Church! I have been feeling more love and closer to God than ever before in my life...blessings.

Have a great week!
Sister Packard

P.S. An Elder in my mission (Elder Furgenson is from California) I told him before he left that my brother is going to be serving where he is from. I told him to look out for him or go out on team ups with him. HE SAW HIM! Is this a small world or what?
