First Transfers Down

HEY from the great state of Alabama! Fam Fam and Friends!

First Transfer down! Sister Packard and Sister Dimon are staying together for another transfer here in Alex City. The two Texan Sisters are staying together. I'm soo happy because I like this small town.:)

Save Money Live Better: Sister Dimon and I were tired and we were not in the "Walmart" mood. We went in anyway. At the end of our "Going down each isle Investigator search" we met this sweet elderly lady named Sherry. Her husband passed away a year ago and she said she would love it if we came over and shared a message. Thanks Heavenly Father and Walmart for leading us to Sherry.:)

Newbies Unite: We drove down to Birmingham. It's always strange going into a city as I have been living in the country life. We had a Follow up Trainers meeting and it was awesome seeing all the missionaries I started out with in the MTC. They are all surviving. At the end of the meeting Sister Sainsbury spontaneously asked Sister Dimon and I to sing. Sister Dimon sings like a goddess. She is so good. We were able to meet up with Mike (recent convert) and take him to the Temple! Super sweet experience. He's awesome. In the temple I met a lady who is related to the Packards. She and her family are from Florida and randomly came to the Temple after a soccer tournament. She's originally from San Diego and knows Aunt Elizabeth. I bet our Packard ancestors were so happy up above!

Let's go Noah: A member in our Branch called us and wants us to teach his son named Noah. Noah is 11 and is not a member. At the end of our lesson we asked him to be baptized in 2 weeks and he said yes!

This week we were able to meet a lot of nice southern folks while knocking on doors. I still can't get over how nice every one is. They aren't really interested in our message. However, they reject us in the most kind way a person could reject two missionaries. I am very grateful for this!

Sunde and Hope: We are still working with them. We want to talk to their parents about the church. Sunde and Hope go to a family church and are unsure about being baptized. We were walking in Walmart and her Mom said, "Are you Sister Packard and Sister Dimon? The ones teaching my girls?" and we said, "Yes we are!"

Deangelo: He is in his 20's and reads the BOM on his free time at work! I said, "Yes Deangelo! You are awesome!" He's already in Nephi Chapter 8. You go Deangelo.

Hayleigh: She's the cute 13 year old. Her power got cut off and she's been super busy. We are going to try and keep working with her.

Monica: Monica loves talking about Jesus but not about the BOM. We will still continue to work with her.

Ms Faye: She has cancer and doesn't have much longer to live. :( She's a devout baptist. We gave her a BOM anyway and she took it and said thank you. We love her.

Mosiah 24: 13-14

13 And it came to pass that the voice of the Lord came to them in their afflictions, saying: Lift up your heads and be of good comfort, for I know of the covenant which ye have made unto me; and I will covenant with my people and deliver them out of bondage.

14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.
