Sister Lewis!

Hello all!
This week was wild! On Monday, I said a sad goodbye to Sister Anderson and joined the Warsaw sisters. We got Sister Littlefield to her train at the other big train station. Then it was just me and Sister Memmott. We spent the rest of Monday and Tuesday freaking out that we were about to get trainees. We kept saying things like, how did we get to this point? How long until the trainees realize we don't know what we're doing?
Haha but it's very exciting! We met the new missionaries on Tuesday right after they landed in Warsaw and we went finding for 2 hours! They all did so well! On Wednesday we found out who we would be with. I am with Siostra Lewis! She is so awesome! We have similar interests and personalities and she is adjusting so well to jetlag/ living in Poland.

So far, we have gone contacting, taught two lessons, worked on Facebook and got legal work done. Sunday was kinda crazy. A member came and spoke; she is the new district relief society president. She is very passionate and also kinda crazy haha. But also, Esra came to church! It was so good that she came! But sadly, she is moving out of Poland next week so we won't be teaching her. It has been so good getting to know her. She said that she knows we are good people and I hope she can keep following God's path for her!

I have been thinking about Jesus Christ and selflessness. Often when we look at our weaknesses, our trials, or our failures, we feel like we are drowning and and life is very hard. But when we look toward Jesus Christ and at the people around us, our problems shrink. There is more light and hope. At church, I was feeling this way. I prayed to accomplish all that needed to be done and to have strength to not think about myself but about others. The rest of church, I was able to help others. I know God strengthened me to help people around me. He really does strengthen us and help us when we help other people. We just have to be willing to try and to be selfless and He does the rest.
A quote I found from President Gordon B. Hinckley
"The best antidote I know for worry is work. The best medicine for despair is service. The best cure for weariness is the challenge of helping someone who is even more tired”
