Last week of 2019!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
On Christmas eve, we had a cool unplanned service opportunity that came in the form of apple pie! A member needed our help and asked us if we could make her an apple pie. So we did and it was so great to serve! We also had dinner with some members at night.

On Christmas, I got to call home and talk with family which was awesome. We had our Christmas activity and one member came. It was good to cheer him up though. We made sugar cookies and watched the Christ Child video :)

On the 26th, we went caroling on the street and asked people if we could sing to them. I was nervous because I don't like singing in front of people and I didn't want to face rejection either. But then we sang "Silent Night" to a man sitting on a bench. He sang along with us and by the end, he was crying! So powerful. I felt God's love for him. I stopped thinking about myself but thought about this man and how we could do such a small act but that it helped him feel God's love. It was a really cool experience.

I'm excited for this next year and the experiences coming up! This last year has been the craziest, hardest, and more rewarding year of my life! I have come to know that God's love is real and powerful and it changes lives! I cherish this last year and all the experiences! I'm excited for 2020!
