I hope you all had an excellent New Years!
Two days after Christmas, I had my first skype TRC, where my companion and I taught someone in Poland! What!? We taught a 30 minute lesson to a member in Poland (she did most of the talking) and it felt like my first TRC lesson where I couldn't understand anything haha. We taught about charity and faith in Jesus Christ and invited her to share her testimony with someone this week. And, we taught Mariola! For practice, our teachers pretend to be people they taught themselves in Poland and one teacher was "Mariola." Then, we find out we are teaching the actual Mariola, the same one our teacher taught who became baptized!! I kept thinking "It's the real Mariola!" So that was fun! We have our second skype TRC tomorrow!
The lessons with "Ewa" have been going well. We taught about prophets and the restoration of the gospel and she was really interested to find out that there are living prophets today! I love teaching the gospel and can't wait to do it in Poland with my very broken Polish haha.
This week has also been hard because I had to say goodbye to Claire. We said goodbye in the travel office, where missionaries depart, after helping her and her district with their luggage. She is now in Germany!! I can't believe it! But I know that is going to help so many people and bring them closer to Christ! I know God is watching over her. I'm so excited to go to Poland so we can be in the same time zone!!!
Doctrine & Covenants 68:6
"Wherefore, be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you; and ye shall bear record of me, even Jesus Christ, that I am the Son of the living God, that I was, that I am, and that I am to come."
Have a great week and remember God is aware of you and loves you!!
