South Park- Week 25

Hello!! (that's hello in ASL ;))

I hope you all have had a great week! It has been a stellar one for me haha! SO, transfers are among us and everyone is getting prepped, ready to move and for all the fun new beginnings. Sister Perez, bless her heart has another 6 weeks to go until she can get rid of me haha. Keep her in your thoughts!

To start my week off with a crack we had Australia day! It was a heck of a time! All the Sister from Australia got together and they invited me! Bless their hearts! It was so nice to sit back and try our best to turn all the American food into the closest we could get it to taste original! I think that was the best part for sure, and then eating it after of course!

Monday seems to be the day when all the good stuff happens here! WELL on Monday I had a really cool experience. I guess you could call it bittersweet haha. I try to say everything on this mission is sweet but this one OOO. It's like a chili-covered lollipop. Takes a minute for the sweetness to kick in.

Well, I was in the Tabernacle here on Temple Square trying my best to make everyone who walks through the doors as uncomfortable as possible until they decide to walk away. It has become the biggest strength of mine. Lucky for me this one family I was chatting with stuck with me for a good hour! What troopers! At first, I thought they were members of the Church and they just knew missionaries were trained to be awkward but then out of nowhere the Dad started quoting South Park! WHAT! I won't lie to you it gave me a good chuckle. After having a very detailed and very Anti centered conversation with this family they started to ask very deep doctrinal questions. Without a doubt, I would not have been able to answer any of them before my mission. That was not only a cool experience for me to see how much I have grown already in such a short time, but to also see how this family that walked onto Temple Square with an opinion already made up about the "Mormons" walking away with a deeper knowledge and a greater understanding of The Church of Christ. It was pretty sick. Part of me really wishes that I could see how much I truly impact these people after they walk out of Temple Square, but I love the opportunity I have to share it with them.

That is pretty much all for this week! Miss you all! Don't be strangers ;)
