I made it through my first transfer!!! Woohoo!!
Quick little story! One of the cool things when you first get to Temple Square is that all the Sisters know who you are, but you have no idea who anyone is! 180 new names is a lot to learn!! And I was blessed with a horrible memory :)
About 10 days into the mission I had a Sister named Sister Szendre walk up to me while at one of my assignments and give me a huge hug and say, "I had a dream last night that I was your follow up trainer! I love you so much!"
I was shocked, to say the least. I had only met her once before but she is, I kid you not, the coolest Sister Missionary at Temple Square and everyone knows it. I'll be honest I didn't know her name until then Haha! After she said this, part of me was thinking ah don't get your hopes up you still have another transfer till that could happen and part of me was like no way that's for sure revelation! It's going to happen!
Well, folks, this is where my testimony of revelation was strengthened! On Monday morning I was told Sister Szendre is my new companion and let me tell you the love I already have for her. She is truly the most loving person I have ever met. There is not a moment I am not smiling when I am with her. Something else that's cool is she's from Tri-Cities Washington! I've been there more than 4 times and driven past where she lives! (Shoutout to the Garry's). She also went to Byu-Hawaii and is making it a very convincing move for me post-mission, even if a daily sunburn is on the table ;)
This week I also had the opportunity to go on exchanges with Sisters from the MTC that are serving in Temple Square! I was so so lucky to be with Sister Hannah Smith! We were actually roommates at Efy a few years back which was so fun!! I feel like EFY is a more laid back missionary training experience so, being in the real deal was so enjoyable and something I never imagined doing.
For the more spiritual side of things! General conference is coming up and I can not wait! It's going to be an amazing opportunity to listen to the modern day Prophet and other leaders of the Church speak. I can not wait for what we're bound to here, it's going to be so powerful. Because of being conference this week has been so fun on the square because there are members just flooding through the place! I love hearing where everyone is from and I've even seen a few Australians who continuously call me a fake Aussie, but I still persist with my little flag! I'm not even American haha I just talk like them ;)
I invite you all this week to tune into General Conference and hear the amazing words that will be spoken. It's going to be a good one, and look out for me! I'll be walking around both days maybe I'll catch my big break!
I miss you all! Have an amazing week :)
(My p-day starting tomorrow will be Wednesday's for the next 6 weeks)
