Temple Square

MTC Break- Week 4

I have made it to Temple Square! It was a long and painful train ride, but I powered through and here I am! I can now say I have conquered the MTC! (kinda)

SO many things have happened since I have talked to you last but it all seems to be quite a blur. Something cool is I am about to become an ASL Sister Missionary! Right when I got here my Mission President asked me to switch to a language! Such an awesome opportunity! It has been a while since I have signed so I've been practicing like crazy to pass off to officially teach and give tours in ASL.

I have a trainer! Her name is Sister Anguinaldo! She is from the Philippines, she's probably half my height and size haha. Everyone on the square thinks I'm training her which is nice lol. Don't get me wrong I love her so much, but I am not good at being bad at things... and there are some things here that I have no idea how to do, so I am bad at them and she's the one that needs to tell me. Boy oh boy! I've got a lot to learn! Who knew missions were this hard!

My Mission President is amazing! In our first interview he asked me about myself and I gave him the Cally Whitmarsh story and ended with and I love to cry. He asked me why I cry... and I don't know why but I started crying and then he cried lol it was the best experience ever. Of course we talked in between these tears but that story is for another day :) He then told me I have the gift of crying, and that's how I share my testimony is through my tears and being emotional! AYE that was so refreshing to hear!

There's positivity in everything my friends! I have a really hard time noticing that. Since serving at Temple Square I've been learning to find it in everything. I meet people from all over the world and everyone has a different background. Some of the stories that have been shared really teach you to be thankful and positive towards what you do have. It's hard to believe, but even being yelled at by anti's makes me feel more positive. I know I know weird, but it gets me really excited to do the lords work. They wouldn't be contending it unless they knew it was something that has a purpose in this world. Satan really knows how to bring some people down, but good luck getting Sister Whitmarsh.

I already have two new people who are interested in joining The Church, and you know what's even crazier is they came to me! I met them online and they started a chat with me. They both asked questions and both were very receiving to what I was teaching them. Now, they have both met with the missionaries where they live and have their third appointments at the end of this week. GOLDEN

I can not deny this work. I think it is so crazy to see how the Lord places people in our lives for us to teach. I know it could be a coincidence, but through the experiences I have since being here there is no denying the power and strength of this gospel.

I love and miss all of you so much! I hope you have an amazing week!

I'm sorry I couldn't tell you more! I only have a short amount of time to email now. If you have emailed me I will reply to you around 7pm tonight when I'll be online again. Don't worry I have not forgotten about you! :)
