First week the worst, Second week the best... third the one with the treasure chest?
Brothers and Sisters this is what I like to call false doctrine. Well the last part. I'm sorry to annouce I haven't received a treasure chest... but I've received something even better. The knowledge of the full gospel of Jesus Christ! What more could a girl ask for?! Reading that back sounded so cheesy but I worked way too hard on it just to erase it.
This week SPED by! I feel like just yesterday I was trying way too hard to make my email entertaining, and here we are back in the same spot. Crazy how that works! They weren't joking when they said the days would feel like weeks and the weeks like days.
It has actually been quite an interesting week. Some of you may not know but the missionary training curriculum is changing a little bit. Something I quite enjoy about the change is the focus on questions and how we can turn teaching from the scriptures into a personal conversation. I'll be honest with you I feel at times like it's an interrogation. I may just need to join the force when I get home with the amount I'm enjoying it. (Really... I'm not too shabby, but my mean muggin face could use some work).
This past week was my final week of Mission training, and our main focus was on our purpose as missionaries. Let me share with you my purpose real fast. For the next 17 months I will be, Inviting others to come unto our Savior Jesus Christ by helping them receive the restore gospel through Faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost and Enduring to the End. Brothers and Sisters, everything that is good comes from God. He wants us to succeed. He wants us to overcome adversity and turn to him through prayer for comfort and guidance. As we strive to live his commandments and keep our sacred covenants boy oh boy will we be eternally blessed. We will feel the power in the love that our Heavenly Father and our Savior have for us. I know this church is true. I know that through inviting others to come unto Christ and become as he is... I am doing what the Lord has asked of me. To me that is an even greater gift than a treasure chest.
This Friday will be my last P-day at the MTC before I actually head to Temple Square on August 22nd, where I'll be for the next 17 months!! Ahhh Crazy!!! I'm so excited! Also, very very nervous! Wish ya girl some luck :)
I miss and love all of you so much! Hope you all have an amazing week!
