Well this week was a dewsy......I can't spell.....life, what can you do. transfers came out! I’m not with sister Tao anymore....kind of a bummer. we had a lot of really good people. but I’m really excited, I'm back in khan uul and tuul, where I served with sister Jensen earlier this year. This time I'm with Sister Nelson (she's super chill, from Texas, air force and my mtc group) we're the new Sisters Training Leaders. Scary! I'm really excited we get to go on splits with the other sisters and half of them were my companions before! hey yo! Sister Nelson is such a good missionary, it's going to be an awesome transfer....but we decided we can't tell president that...that's what's happened to me at least...haha we'll see how that goes! I've now served in six different areas; baynzurkh, khan uul, tuul, songino, ekhtaivan, and bayngol....and now I'm back. hopefully I get to go to baynzurkh next, I love that place. it was so cool going back to the wards I'd served in. I knew everyone and it was so happy. it was like going home. the ward is so sweet, I loved it!
The coolest part is that a less active (Solongo) that Sister Jensen and me had started meeting with was there. when we both left she wasn't really progressing, she wasn't meeting with us...we were pretty worried. but I saw her yesterday. She was happy and active and surrounded by friends. it's so cool. She has changed so much! The gospel is truly amazing!!!! It can literally change you, if you let it.
In True to the Faith it says, "Faith is much more than passive belief. You express your faith through action—by the way you live. Having faith in Jesus Christ means relying completely on Him—trusting in His infinite power, intelligence, and love. It includes believing His teachings. It means believing that even though you do not understand all things, He does. Remember that because He has experienced all your pains, afflictions, and infirmities, He knows how to help you rise above your daily difficulties (see Alma 7:11–12; D&C 122:8). He has “overcome the world” (John 16:33) and prepared the way for you to receive eternal life. He is always ready to help you as you remember His plea: “Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not” (D&C 6:36)."
Just like the brother of Jared and his people as they entered their ships and "commended" themselves to the Lord. That's faith, putting your trust in Him and then continuing to press forward with faith and hope. I'm sure it wasn't all peaches and creams as they spent a year on the water...it was probably really stinky actually, but they did it and it says that they praised God through it all. Faith and gratitude, it’s the same in our lives. it's so cold here...I literally can't feel my face on the windy days... but I still get up, leave my apartment and go appointment from appointment...and I love my life! It was so amazing to see the faith that Solongo has exercised and the faith she has gained by learning and living the gospel. The best part she still wants to meet with us and learn! It all starts with faith and obedience.
well, see ya later. hairtai shuu and stuff.
xoxo, Sister Bollwinkel
