So this week I had the best study of my life! I was studying about gratitude and then started studying about loving your neighbor.....talk about spiritual high!
we also got to meet with our investigators who are just so prepared! we are meeting with a boy named Temuujin, he's so great. he reminds me of Zane such a good kid with a strong testimony. he is already planning to go on a mission! and we're meeting with a woman named Mukhbileg. She's had a lot of hard trials and has been meeting with the missionaries for a while...but she is just so amazing. We were reviewing a lesson that she had had a problem with and started asking other questions, anyway we started talking about tithing and then fasting...she was so interested in fasting. She had never done it....so we did it all together on Sunday it was so cool. she was so happy all of church! she was answering and asking questions throughout class. She even took a picture of every page of the lesson from the gospel principle's class....that just made my day. She has a strong desire to do what is right. I love it. there is also a really sweet new member that just loves my companion, so I get lots of love BC of proximity. she is trying to say my name.....no one does that. I always get so happy when people just try. she had to run out right after church yesterday so she just grabbed us and gave us big hugs and did the Mongolian sniff/kiss...(Mongolians don't kiss each other on both cheeks. they sniff ....I have been sniffed so many times on my mission!) it was so sweet...and she saw us today walking and started yelling and waving...cute lady!
Yesterday we were able to meet with a really good member. we were just going to drop something by bc we had time. But we went in and helped her with some things and it turns out that she really needed us.....she said that we were an answer to her prayers...I love that!! Everyday in our lives we are given opportunities to show love and kindness to those around us. We must remember that those around us, the humans we meet in parking lots, offices, elevators, Ger districts etc are "that portion of mankind that God has given to us to love" and to serve.
"each person has within himself the power to increase the sum total of the world's happiness...by giving a few words of sincere appreciation to someone....perhaps you will forget tomorrow the kind words you say today, but the recipient may cherish them over a lifetime." -President Monson
I know that I always appreciate those who take the time to express love towards others and me. so be like these people and increase the world's happiness.
ps English is good....just trying to keep my little monsters under control...nothing new.
