1. Sister Olsen and I are still together!
2. I’ve been thinking about examples and service. the first example was Ammon's. He followed the Savior’s way and served. He did his duty and served with all his heart, might mind and strength. And because of his good example and service, King Lamoni’s heart was softened and his people were converted. The next example was also from Ammon. He showed more Christ like qualities when he had a run in with king Lamoni’s dad. Because of Ammon's love for king Lamoni his dad's heart was softened and prepared for Aaron to teach him. The third example comes from the other sons of Mosiah. They had it ruff. They were called to serve in much harder areas, among a more hard-hearted people. They suffered a lot. But they continued to work hard and endured patiently. Consequently, they then taught the king of all the lamanites. I think that their suffering and experience defiantly helped them as they approached the king. The king was converted and many of his people. Missionary work was opened in the land and the word of God spread freely. The last example comes from recent converts, the anti-nephi-lehi's. They were converted and did not want to turn back to their old ways. They showed their faith and because of them even more were converted.
A lot of credit can go to examples. The example we show has the power to soften hearts and change lives. I try everyday to be the kind of person that I know that I should be. I pray that I can, and I know that Heavenly Father sees my efforts and yours.
Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
That’s really what it is, "a labour of love" God is aware of us and our efforts and He will make our efforts enough. I’m grateful for all that He makes me and the many opportunities He gives me. I hope we can all do a little better, serve our neighbor a little more and show others true discipleship everyday. If we do these things, miracles will happen. I am so grateful for the good examples in my life. God has it all planned out. He wants to help us and he wants us to be happy. "Happiness in life is found in accepting life as it comes to us with great faith that God has a plan and a purpose for us." I’m grateful for His plan and foresight. I’m grateful for my mission and the people I serve.
