Happy New Years! We got to go to our schools teacher's party.... it was like prom.... I was way under dressed. We arrived at the school to get a ride and one of the teachers asked if she could help my hair and makeup...I obviously needed help. It was cute to see them sing and dance and talk about their school! And then we had to leave.... the teachers that sat at our table were very lucky genee.... because that meant more alcohol for them. Someone needs to teach them the gospel...I sure wish I could!
My golden grandma isn't so golden.... she has her own religion and takes the parts that she likes #apostasy? She thinks that she will be resurrected and transformed into one of Chingas Khan's queens in heaven...but she knows that the Book of Mormon is true...we're working with her. We had to give our grandpas to the elders because their area and house was "too dangerous" I hope we can still meet with them sometimes!!! They are so cute!! We have the cutest investigators! I love them!!!!
It was cool to have New Years in the mission field, to look back on this last year and then to look forward as well. A year ago I never would have imagined myself on a mission and I definitely never imagined that I would be in Mongolia! I have been so extremely blessed. I love to look for the Lord's hand in my life - He is everywhere! I am so grateful that a mission was part of His plan and that He helped me get here! My ponderizing scripture this week has been D&C 78:17-19 it is really an amazing promise. Look it up! The Lord is always with us. He is leading and guiding us through everything. We may not always see it, we may not always understand the path that we need to take...but He does. He knows us perfectly and if we will give up our will to Him...we are promised the blessings of eternity.
Anyways...love you lots. Don’t forget who's you are and remember that he>i
17 Verily, verily, I say unto you, ye are little children, and ye have not as yet understood how great blessings the Father hath in his own hands and prepared for you;
18 And ye cannot bear all things now; nevertheless, be of good cheer, for I will lead you along. The kingdom is yours and the blessings thereof are yours, and the riches of eternity are yours.
19 And he who receiveth all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious; and the things of this earth shall be added unto him, even an hundred fold, yea, more.
